Not my problem all the foreigners who have a problem here. none have stood up with me I have had to fight my case on my own, there is no one you can trust here not even the lawyers, all they want is money, and will try and keep the case going as long as possible. and its the lawyers who cause most of the problems
by being paid to make false papers and small print clauses in contracts. so thinking of buying here in Egypt be very careful.
say you die look at the problems your relations will have if they want to sell. renting is the only problem free way here thats as long as you only put up front 3 months rent. if you have a problem you can just get another place, not loosing too much money. and your sanity still intact. even renting has its scams. here in Luxor there are hundreds of places ready to rent, so do not fall for the money up front to finish the flat and you get a vast reduction in monthly payments. tell them you finish the flat. and I will rent it. once you pay up front the flat will be finished but one of his family will move in claiming they are squatters this can take up to five years to get them out the cost will be much more than you have already paid. they know all the scams here.
the nicer the person is the less you can trust them. be very wary of the estate and letting offices, they too know good lawyers.
and by the amount they have here in Luxor 1500 the lawyer will be a close relation, the only good lawyer here is a bad one, one saying here is : If you shake hands with a lawyer count your fingers after.
